Vital Remains – Live in Denver – May 8th 2012

Rhode Island’s own Vital Remains stopped along with Destruction and company in Denver on May 8th, 2012. Founding guitarist Tony Lazaro has been the driving force in this band since its inception in 1988. As you can see below, Tony has this sick ‘666’ guitar with light up sixes around it. Too bad I couldn’t get a perfect picture of it for you to see. Although they sounded great, their set was cut short by the people running the venue. Fuckin’ assholes.

Vital Remains is a death metal secret. Let the cat out of the bag and go see these guys.

Here’s the 4th song I’ve completed in the last 23 days.

Chocolate milk reminds me of a more innocent time. When I was probably around 7 years old. It reminds me of going to a restaurant, ordering a chocolate milk, and coloring on the little play-mat adventure thing. Truly a trip to a more innocent time. Obviously, this is some stupid fucking insignificant thing I’m thinking of that for no apparent reason, I remember. What’s so special about chocolate milk?! Honestly?!?! I might never know, but I don’t want to talk about that any more.

On an unrelated note, the new Soulfly sucks ass. I’ve never heard any of their other shit, but the new one absolutely blows. Max Cavalera is dead to me. Not really, but c’mon. That’s why ladies and gentlemen, I bring you a very important message to remember about albums you may or may not look forward to:

DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Anyone who’s ever listened to Public Enemy knows this. That annoying bastard Flava Flav is screaming that shit at you. I mean……gah. I still like PE though. My like for them sprouted from my love of Anthrax, and I never saw a problem with old-school hip-hop. I mean fuck, Run-D.M.C. were totally fucking cool. If you don’t think so, you are honestly a lesser person in my eyes.

Heh…not like that means anything to you. I’m just the loser with a keyboard and too much time on my hands.

In case any of you are interested, Phantom of the Opera by Iron Maiden is mesmerizing my mind as I type. There’s just something about Di’Anno-era Maiden that the Bruce-era lacks. It has more of a punk overtone. I think Bruce-era stuff is awesome too, don’t get me wrong. But it differs from the Di’Anno-era big time.
